Solitude Farm & Organic Kitchen, Founded 26 years ago in the international township of Auroville. Solitude is dedicated to natural farming, permaculture and demonstrating the value of local food and the bounty of mother nature.

Why

The crisis that we face in the world today is a result of the vast industrialisation on our planet. We have lost our relationship with Mother nature, a symptom of which is that we no longer know where our food comes from. Learning permaculture, natural farming and exploring local foods is the simplest solution we have to save our planet.

Information

Learn the technicalities of making natural soap, the proportions and temperature of lye and oils etc. We will walk around the farm and harvest a diversity of local ingredients – leaves, seeds & flowers etc. Understanding the treasure trove of Mother Nature.

An integral part of the workshop is also to demonstrate the simplicity and value of bio-enzyme and to show in practice how we recycle all the grey water from the cafe into the field.
