The modules in this workshop will empower you to grow your own food; urban gardening, circle garden with enormous social implications, a larger field module for those starting their own farms. We will explore soil, seeds, local foods, medicinal plants, recycling water, enzyme, hand soaps and the importance of celebration in permaculture.
This 3-day workshop focuses on building with cost-efficient, environment-friendly, and sustainable building materials, especially appropriate for our climate with the world’s oldest and widely used building material -mud, locally available, and reclaimed materials followed by interactive sessions and site visits.
Earth and bamboo are two materials which have been used together for a wide range of traditional construction techniques in Southeast Asia. They are locally abundant, affordable and with a very low carbon footprint. They are known to be materials of the people. They can be used for crude self-construction or can be engineered with high precision.
