WASH Institute (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene Institute) is a non‑profit organisation working to address key challenges in water, sanitation, hygiene, and environmental sustainability in India. Their team joined us for a one‑day immersion in Auroville, exploring practical approaches to waste, water, and resource management through on‑site visits and interactive sessions. The gallery captures moments from hands‑on upcycling at Upcycle Studio, an engaging learning visit to Eco Service, and a focused session on wastewater management systems, creating space for reflection, questions, and peer learning around building healthier, more resilient communities through safe water, sanitation, and hygiene practices.
The sessions were well organized, able to have hands on experience. All the facilitators were kind, helpfull and clarified our queries. It was great to have experienced and learned about Auroville Green Practices

It is wonderful to see an entire area dedicated to sustainability and eco-friendliness, especially with such extensive reforestation. I was fascinated to learn about Auroville’s CSR initiatives; it is a pleasure to discover their work. I have often wished to practice upcycling, and from now on, I am committed to getting my hands dirty and turning waste into something new. I am also impressed by how they treat wastewater without chemicals to ensure safe disposal. Actually, it isn't just about disposal—it's about the value of recycling everything. I truly admire this approach.
