We recently had the pleasure of hosting 23 design students from Woxsen University, Hyderabad, along with their two guides, as part of their industrial tour. The day began with an engaging introduction to Auroville at Auroville Consulting, where the students explored Auroville’s philosophy and practices through an insightful session and an interactive Q&A. This was followed by a hands-on lampshade-making workshop at the Bamboo Centre, where the students discovered the versatility and beauty of bamboo under the guidance of skilled artisans. The day concluded with a serene walk through the Revelation Forest, offering the students a meaningful connection to nature and a deeper understanding of sustainability. This collaboration was a rich exchange of ideas, creativity, and experiential learning, highlighting the importance of sustainable design practices in shaping the future of innovation.
