Context
Considering the complex regulatory environment with multiple metering mechanisms, tariff rates, solar feed-in tariffs and network charges, determining the most appropriate rooftop solar PV capacity is a complex task. This task is usually carried out by an experienced engineer or rooftop solar installer in the planning stage of the project. The engineer would make comparisons between multiple scenarios to select the best suitable system depending on the requirements. Solva: Evaluating the value of distributed generation
This session will introduce you to the SOLVA web tool which allows users to undertake a DT/Feeder/Substation level power flow analysis. This helps evaluate the network and social benefits of distributed solar and energy storage. It helps you to identify system sizes and dispatch strategies to optimise the value of distributed solar and energy storage.
