This environment workshop will delve into the ecological restoration, regeneration and reforestation efforts undertaken in Auroville and its surrounding bioregion. Participants will gain insights into the transformative journey of converting barren land into a flourishing forest, driven by the determination of Auroville’s early settlers. The regeneration initiatives have embraced an indigenous approach, establishing these forests as community spaces that offer valuable lessons in vegan organic nutrition, recycling, waste minimization, biodegradable toiletries, composting toilets, a greywater system, and the cultivation of positive and supportive emotional attitudes.
