Upcycling
In this upcycling workshop, our primary focus is on creatively minimizing waste. We utilize various discarded materials to craft aesthetically pleasing and practical items. Waste paper undergoes a transformation into paper sticks and reeds, which are then skilfully woven into baskets or bowls, or fashioned into beautiful papier-mâché objects. Coconut shells, otherwise discarded, find new life as utilitarian utensils or captivating jewelry, adding both functionality and adornment to homes or individuals. Our in-house designers showcase their ingenuity by repurposing waste, such as crocheting plastic into bags and hats, converting bottle caps into coasters, and crafting bricks from tetra packs for furniture construction.
Beyond addressing the economic aspect of turning waste into wealth, this hands-on workshop also serves as a platform to revive local wisdom and sustainable practices that may have been overlooked over time and to translate them into your bespoke creative expression. Engaging in this arts and crafts workshop will encourage you to perceive waste in a different light and present opportunities for upcycling, allowing you to experience the satisfaction of creating value from discarded materials.
